A cornerstone of Western New York’s commercial history is preparing to shutter its doors, marking the end of a family legacy that has spanned nearly two centuries. M. Steffan’s & Sons, the venerable leather goods and repair shop that has been a fixture of the Buffalo landscape since 1851, will officially close at the end of March.
