NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Law enforcement officials in Niagara Falls are currently investigating a weekend armed robbery at a local 7-Eleven, an incident that has prompted a call for community assistance. The Lake Erie Times has confirmed that authorities are seeking leads to identify the individual responsible for the targeted theft on Niagara Street.
The Incident on Niagara Street
The robbery occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 2620 Niagara Street. Niagara Falls Police arrived on the scene shortly after receiving a 911 distress call from the store staff reporting an active holdup.
According to statements provided to responding officers, the suspect—described as a Black male wearing a ski mask—entered the establishment brandishing a rifle. After demanding money from the clerk, the suspect successfully obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing the premises on foot.
Ongoing Investigation and Public Safety
Despite a swift response and an immediate search of the surrounding neighborhood by patrol units, the suspect was not located. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has since taken over the case, reviewing available surveillance footage and forensic evidence to track the perpetrator’s movements.
