This session will focus specifically on the gun safety portion of the New York State requirements.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the course is open to individuals at least 12 years of age. However, 11-year-olds are permitted to participate provided a parent or legal guardian remains present for the duration of the class. To ensure a productive learning environment, all attendees are required to bring identification—such as a birth certificate or driver’s license—along with a pen or pencil for coursework. As this is a full-day event, participants should also pack a lunch and beverages.
